Welcome to a new forum of open minded expressions, pod-casting as some know it. In this blog – you are afforded the opportunity to express your opinion, to engage, to agree or disagree with me and others. The ONLY rule is; do it all with respect and logic. My interaction with the South African public through radio has rudely awakened me to the fact that most people are more emotional than they are logical in advancing their arguments. I therefore urge you as you participate in open minded interactions with others – at least in this blog - to please respect other peoples’ point of view and learn from different perspectives. Also, appreciate the fact that not everyone will agree with you!
I am proud of my African heritage and I try to reflect this in my business dealings as well as my public persona. My quest is for us as Africans to learn and draw from global insights, to address African issues with African solutions. Notice two things in that line: global insights and NOT Western insights and African solutions and NOT prescribed solutions. I do believe that we have it in us as Africans to find solutions to many of the so called socio-economic dilemmas that we are faced with – only if we could open up to the possibilities of learning and take ownership of the responsibilities brought about by independence.
I attained a Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) degree at Wits University and a Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) from UNISA – I have not decided whether I will finish my doctorate in business or not, will keep you posted on that one! I’ve won numerous national and international awards as an executive manager of many blue chip global companies including Unilever, Reckitt Benckizer and SABMiller. And As a Business Specialist I am a guest on Metro FM talk Monday to Friday mornings from 6.40am to 6.55 am and on Tuesday evenings at 8pm.
My work focuses on improving the performance of individuals, teams and organizations. My consulting and coaching clients report that I am full of practical, useful common sense advice that they can put to work immediately. I find writing therapeutic hence I am such a prolific writer. You can read my monthly articles on CEO magazine and many other business publications.
Some call me a Business Turn Around Specialist, an Organizational Change Specialist, an Economist, a Fat Cat Capitalist, an Executive coach, a Leadership Consultant, a Mentor, a Public Speaker, a Motivational Speaker, even a Journalist and others just a Consultant… Bar the Fat Cat Capitalist, I agree with the above descriptors of my profession which can be summed up in two words i.e. Business Strategist. But, who really is Ezra Ndwandwe? Well my hope is that in the times to come faithful viewers and those that interact with me through this blog will be able to answer that question for me.
